2 - crazed
reading, editing, youtube watchin', reading, editing, youtube watchin'.
that's all i seem to do these days. at least in may. yesterday was my roommate's birthday. she's entered the world of being nineteen. i welcome her.
i changed my lip piercing for the first time by myself. fact of the day.
i am currently editing the sixth chapter of dream catchers. i'd say i did a good job at editing yesterday. still don't think i'm satisfied enough but well, editing and writing is such a pain-in-the-ass process.
i'm still reading gabriel's inferno but i thought i'd pick up another wattpad read as well. as i am a sucker for a good and a bit of a psychotic fanfic, i picked crazed from my library.
the thing with wattpad is that i always let someone pick a number between one and the number of books i have on the 'my library' shelf. the last time both my aunt and my roommate picked 13 out of 48. coincidence? i think not. the book was uglies by scott westerfeld and it's been put on wattpad by the author himself, so there's no yada-yada-it's-plagiarism thing. but i just didn't feel like reading it because i've been reading a whole lot of fantasy lately and well, i wanted a bit of change.
so, crazed is a harry styles fan fiction story. i have absolutely no idea what it's about yet, since i'm on the first chapter, halfway through while writing this post.
if there's one thing that i hate that people do on wattpad is that well, first of all, the authors put so much effort into writing their stories, so much time, so much of their minds. and, yeah, they may get millions of reads but when you look at the vote count? it's almost always on a four million read story, like on a good day, three hundred thousand. people don't vote for stories. i always do, even on short stories with a hundred parts and four pages even. it amazes me how people expect to get votes but they don't vote for stories themselves.
for an author. it's such a big thing when people vote for their stories. for example, on my story confined, i have twenty eight thousand reads and just under six hundred votes.
i would've never thought that i'd get this many reads even. i know it's not a lot when you look at some big stories, with at least a hundred thousand reads. but it's a big deal for me. an amateur writer, just someone who spends their time jotting down some thoughts and spending most their time reading.
and that's probably why authors put notes at the end of their chapters, telling readers to get a certain amount of votes and comments because it's satisfactory for the authors to see that some people appreciate their writing.
so, get coting. (commenting and voting)
if you don't agree with my little statement, it's alright but don't come bullshitting me because i have an opinion. i've had enough of that.
also, an amazing girl who writes screenwalks on wattpad, noticed my blog on twitter. i absolutely had no idea of her story but i sure as hell will be reading it as soon as humanly possible. thank you, elisa.
until tomorrow
