50 - november '15 wrap-up

sorrrrrrrrry i've been busy.

first of all - me and alice finished with before misery! we're planning on writing a sequel for it but we have hell of a lot thinking and planning to do before we can start with it.

the finished book is available to read on wattpad - before misery

reading-wise i've gone through quite a few this month! i haven't read many physical books this month but i'm working my way through my wattpad library, yesterday i had twenty more books to read but then i added five new ones... i'm sorry i can't hold myself back, really.

thank god i keep a journal/diary kind of thing where i document every single book that i read.

i'm going to try and give brief summary of what i've read since the last time i updated, so here we go.

so, the first thing after promnights from hell - which i still didn't finish - i read a few chapters of linger by maggie stiefvater and i haven't finished it either. i jsut can't seem to get into it at all. it was the same as the first book for me, like, can't get into it and all.

the next book i picked up was revolution on wattpad which is a dystopian harry styles fan fiction. it only has about three chapters but i'm honestly so hooked on it and i can't wait to see what more delilah puts out. i love everything delilah writes, even though i haven't read 'ready to run' and 'super 8' yet.

then i caught up with myname is april but this was quite meh for me because it hadn't been updated in months, firstly, and i was expecting more from it. so, yeah, it only had one-two chapters and i tend to think that the author just doesn't feel like putting it out there any longer, even though i've read some of her other stories and they've been really good.

then i picked up losingit by cora carmack and it was a teacher-student new adult story which i flew through. i read it in a day and it made me feel like shit at some point for some characters and i really want to continue on with it. i kept staring at the back cover because garrick was such eye candy.

i read a quarter of deadto you by lisa mcmann, because it's been sitting on my bookshelf for a while but i never picked it up until then. it's kind of a mystery and i once again didn't feel like reading this becuase i'd just read losing hope and it has similar elements to it, like a kid being kidnapped sort of i can't remember clearly since i read it in the very beginning of november.

then i finally received the amazing book is not on fire by dan howell and phil lester, and iflew through it as well. dan and phil are my absolute favorite youtubers after dodie clark and emma blackery, well, they're actually even more up there than dodie and emma because the first two youtubers i realyl started to watch were dan and phil. so, reading and finding out about what's been going on in dan and phil's lives was really fun adn it was genuinely funny. i love the two and their personalities and their videos because they're just genuinely funny and sarcastic, have good taste in musc, TV-shows and films, everything. and they're into gaming which is absolutely a me-thing as well.

then came the time when i decided that i wanted to power through my whole wattpad library and read everything i have on it, which at the time was approximately thirty books.

the first book i read was redemption which was a harry styles alternative universe story. i know, hella lot of harry styles but what can you do. this was really fun to read since harry was basically a heartless killer in it, meaning that he'd kill everyone even walking in his way. there was another interesting aspect to it, which was that all the citizens had tattoos and your soulmate had the same tattoo as you, meaning you had to find them. there were good soulmates and bad soulmates, and our main character's soulmate end up being the most wanted person in the whole world, harry styles. the main character is kidnapped from a party she attends, as well as her best friend and things go very much down from there. so, yeah, obviously i read it in a quick pace since a lot was happening all the time and it didn’t drag.

i (guiltily) read daddy’sgirl on wattpad which was a *cough* daddy kink *cough* story with luke hemmings from 5 seconds of summer. the thing is that they actually didn’t very much get to the kink part when i read it to the about fourteen chapters the story had so far. basically, our main character was having sort of an affair with one of her great friends but the boy had a girlfriend. he kept saying that even after ca eight months he was going to break up with her to be with the main character, but he didn't do it. basically, he ended up being an asshole because he said two different things to two different girls and the main character happened to be in the same room as the guy + girlfriend when he says things to her girlfriend and the main runs out of the room, blah blah blah. that was when luke came in the story and it didn't evolve much yet. and, as i usually am not interested in reading incomplete stories, it was just left behind. sometimes i just feel like reading some daddy kink for some reason and i have a few stories on my wattpad library still, waiting for me... oh, the shame.

after this i stumbled upon phantom which was a paranormal harry styles fan fiction - I'M SORRY I just like reading his stories because they have very different plots and most are AUs anyways - and it was phenomenal. you can read my fabulous review on goodreads.

then after powering through 'phantom', i read girls like you which was a luke hemmings au story. it dragged so much and it took me a week to read the whole thing. the chapters were verrrrrry long and there were so many fillers that i got sick of it after reading like three-four chapters in a row. i guess i didn't like it as much because it had a very common storyline what i've read - you know, bad boy meets innocent girl because she starts to tutor her because he's failing a class in school and they fall in love and hide their relationship because the girl's parents don't like the guy. basically. and it's not finished and i don't see myself picking this book up again. i just, i don't know, i wasn't into it but i read the whole thing to see where the downfall happened.

and now just three days ago i read aesthetics which was a zayn malik au story where zayn is working as a tattoo artist and as a general artist. first of all - i'm very into tattoos and art, so this story was really appealing to me. i learned a lot from it because our main character rose actually taught zayn words throughout the story, because she quite literally was a walking dictionary.
so, we start with the fact that rose is afraid of needles but she wants to get a tattoo. so, she goes to the tattoo shop where zayn works but ed (sheeran) is the one that's supposed to tattoo her. rose gets hysterical and that's where ed calls out to zayn because he's good at soothing clients and doing tattoos, so yes. rose gets infatuated with zayn because obviously, everyone sees zayn as one of the most gorgeous human being to ever walk on earth. so, she keeps going to the tattoo shop to see zayn but she is afraid to talk to him but her best friend, harry (styles), is good with people in general, so he encourages her to talk to zayn and that's where the story keeps going and it has a lot of ups and downs but i really really enjoyed reading this. i, once again, learned a lot through it (just as with phantom) and there was a ton of fluff which i'm not usually too much into but it suited this story very well.

and now i'm reading a story called illegally yours and i've so far read twenty one chapters, meaning i'm about a quarter through with it. and it's so weird. i'll say more about it when i'm finished which is possibly in a few days.

so, that is a total of three unread books
and
including the one i'm reading now, ten completely read books

i could say it was a good wattpad reading month since i only read like two physical copies of books.

so, now i have about twenty five more books to go because i'm a moron and added five more books last night.

today's song choice is justin bieber ft. halsey 'the feeling'.

until my book haul which is the next post

x o
