87 - troubled
oh shit, i haven't updated in a very long time. sorry.
i've been a bit busy in the past couple of weeks and therefore i haven't had a ton of time to read but at the same time i've been kind of slumpy on reading.
dark and dangerous love put me into quite a reading slump and most of the things i've read since are conteporaries becuase i don't know, i just fell ut of the paranormal romance scene quite quickly.
the next book i started reading was new kid but i didn't read a lot of it in the end because it reminded me a lot of another book that i can't remember the name of. basically, harry is a 'bad kid' in a sense that he's like been in jail or something and a lot of fuss starts going around it and the main character starts to doubt if she wants to be friends with him or not etc etc. not a fan.
ugly dreams was a poem so i won't get into that. it was sad though.
i got into translating the other week and i started translating call me ella by belwatson on wattpad, into estonian and my proof-reader is the lovely miss alice, so shoutout for that. currently like seven or eight chapters are out if you're interested.
on the twelfth of march i went to see hollywood undead live and they were really fucking great, okay. such an amazing band and they were absolutely sick live. definitely recommend seeing them if you're into rock-rap-whatever they do.
the next day i received some of my books from krisostomus and i started reading obsidian by jennifer l. armentrout almost immediately and i'm about a hundred and fifty pages in so far. this is about a girl who is forced to move from florida to a small town in the middle of nowhere and her neighbors are aliens, basically. everyone in the town fears them or is disgusted by them after one of the family brothers disappeared along with a girl. daemon is the boy from next door whom our main character is dealing with and they hate each other, so they have to basically make friends because his sister wants a normal friend. eventually, they start to have feelings for each other and it takes off from there. i really love jennifer's writing style because it's super easy to read and it's fast-paced.
the next book was a reread for me, fanfiction by bonnaroo and i honestly can't remember if i have reviewed it here before or not. anyways, it's about a girl who DMs ashton irwin on twitter and they start talking. they joke around but ashton starts to act very shady and luke keeps telling our main character to stop talking to ashton, and ashton does this himself, too. he doesn't want to hurt her but he does, a lot, when they don't talk and when ashton's reason behind 'don't talk to me please' comes out. also, just a fair warning, calum's a total dickhead in this story but that's what makes him great ebcause he's very straightforward. one of my wattpad favorites, still.
then i picked up a lot of small little stories, and the first one was grotesque and this was a 'free your body' story where our main character isn't happy with the way she looks and she thinks she doesn't deserve a guy to like her, especially when a new boy comes to her class and is shying away from everyone. in fact, he is attracted to her but she doesn't believe it. at the same time, the girl's mother isn't home to help her through her tough times either, so it takes off from there. it is a very sad story again, but it has a happy ending to it, fortunately.
colliding stars was a tiny one-part story about a boy and a girl who are the complete opposites. the girl's mother has died and she's devastated but she meets aaron wyatt at the hospital, he's a tattooed guy who seems all tough on the outside but actually turns out to be a softie when the two spill their life stories to each other. they make each other shitty days better.
mr. moseby's exciting life was a parody short story of mr. moseby off 'the suite life of zack and cody/the suite life on deck' and it was super sarcastic and reflected a bit of his personality on the television show. it was funny but i wasn't really to much of a fan.
saturday was actually a third book in a standalone series. i didn't know it but i didn't pick up the first two, so i was a bit taken aback when i saw that a few events had happened and i was sure that another one of those is going to happen in the end. this is a calum hood story where he falls in love with a girl who's married to a disabled guy and he's very persistent and wants the girl to divorce the disabled man, so he could be with her. that doesn't happen and calum finds himself depressed and luke is super concerned for him, after the events of the first two books in the series. very sad and i wans't sure about the plot because at first i thought the girl was like a thirty-forty year old woman and i was like 'uhhh.....'. so yeah.
text me was about peyton who gets an anonymous text from a boy in her school, saying that he loves her. she has a specific timespan until when she finds out who the boy sending the texts is. in the meantime, peyton is a bit depressed over the fact that she has a crush on her best friend but he starts dating a girl she doesn't like very much. so, in spite of that, she starts to date a boy she's friends with. and in the end, she'll learn about who was the one sending her the texts.
then i read a series (i don't know if it's a series, it doesn't say, just the stories matched the covers, so i thought, yeah). the first one i read was stutter which is an ashton irwin short story where he stutters and he gets the girl he likes, basically. perfume is a michael clifford one where he likes the smell of the perfume of the girl he likes, therefore he and her date and yeah. arizona was a calum hood one where the girl is always in the store buying the arizona iced tea and calum mocks her but he develops a crush on her. nail art was a story where luke hemmings likes a girl who is suicidal and they write letters to each other talking about each other's developments and nail art. they meet and they date etc.
troubled was the last story i read up to date and it's a harry styles story where is a troubled teenager and his mother sends him off to america long with two other kids (louis and hannah) to a television show where strict parents teach them to be good. melanie is the girl who's parents are strict and the three live with her for six months and in the meantime, she hates harry but starts developing feelings for him as he defends her in a few nasty situations. this is an unfinished story and i probably won't continue with them.
today i started reading the cell phone swap where keeley loses her phone at a fair and picks up a wrong phone that turns out to be a jock's in her school. haven't gotten far with it yet, so i'm curious to see where it'll go.
today's song choice is bring me the horizon's 'follow you' 'cause i love the song's meaning and the video even though it went through a lot of controversy when it came out.
until next time
