70 - massive book unhaul + shelf reorganization

lomgp ost a

okay, here we GO! here are the bookshelves before I went through them. some i forgot to take pictures of 'cause i was so eager to get rid of some of the books but i'll explain what and where i had more books, basically:

BEFORE:

BOOK CASE 1

This was my "read in 2016" shelf, 2 physical books so far as you can see

BOOKCASE 2 - this has books behind the front ones as well but i forgot to take photos of them

+ i have another shelf of non-fiction books and one with sequels that don't have the first books. again, forgot to take photos lol oops

SO, now to the books that i unhauled. I unhauled a total of a hundred and forty two books (more like holy fucking shit). i probably missed some so let's say that it's a hundred and fifty. that's a lot of fucking books, okay.

at least the good thing is that i moved at least thirty-forty classics from my shelves to another room and i only have a very little section with classics on my own shelf right now. i just thought that i wouldn't be reading those classics any time soon and i need to get on with some books that i've had for quite a while and are from the modern day instead.

all of those plus my classics will make up to i guess a hundred and sixty books max that I unhauled. all my books are now on one shelving unit thing!!!!! ONE!!!!

only my favorites are on another shelf + my non-fiction. but all fiction is on one bookcase, the brown one.

this whole process took me about six hours and i need to move the unhauled books to store them somewhere before i decide what i want to do with them. some of them i will give to friends and family and i guess the rest i'll donate to a secondhand shop because i find no use in them any longer.

by the next post i'll count how many books i have left in my physical tbr so, look out for that!!! also i'll post pictures of how i reorganized the shelves because i'm not sure how i want them right now. i'll figure it out soon, very soon.

i'm super hyper right now i'm so sorry - that's what listening to 'made in the a.m.' for the fifth/sixth time in a row does tbh

SORRY THIS ONE PHOTO ISN'T IN THE FUCKING ROW 'CAUSE IT FUCKS UP EVERY TIME I TRY TO CHANGE IT SO I'M SORRY I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT I'M SO PISSED OFF BECAUSE OF IT UGH

until next time!
