90 - michael's melody

oooh i've read a few things since the last time i updates only four days ago, look at me go.

i am still on my way through with always since it's lengthy and things are kind of slow right now at the point where i am - about halfway through - but i'll get there eventually.

i read tinder which is a michael story where michael is feeling kind of like, down?, i guess and luke sets him up a tinder account. he meets someone on there and things pick up. loved it, the ending was on point. i love surprise endings.

then i picked up twitter and it was a calum one and i didn't really enjoy it all that much because things evolved way too quickly for my liking. and i also wish there was more interaction between our two main characters through twitter, not like face-to-face, since the story is already named twitter.

then i read the first ten-ish chapters of the senior and i also ended up dropping it because it was very like teenager-y, and there were some very annoying characters i didn't enjoy reading about and it was predictable. that's all.

then i read probably my favorite thing this month yet - michael's melody and it was by the same author as 'drunk words, sober thoughts' - which is also one of my favorites - and this one really got to me. the michael in this story wasn't the sad and depressed guy at the most part, at least before certain events happened, and he has a child to raise after his ex-girlfriend has committed suicide, so he takes his daughter with him on tour to america. i haven't read a lot of stories where characters have to raise children at a young age but i usually really love when stories include little siblings or children. this broke my heart and warmed it and it was an emotional ride and i'm so sad it's only fourteen parts and isn't finished. it was so good.

and now i picked up bridesmaid which is supposedly a calum hood one and it has a somewhat wedding theme to it. haven't gotten to it yet because i want to power through obsidian by jennifer l. armentrout before friday 'cause the there's two read-a-thons coming up this and next week.

the read-a-thons i'm taking part in are tbr takedown 3.5 and genrethon, and if you want to know more about them, watch this and this. tbr takedown 3.5 is taking place april 8-10 and genrethon is april 11-17.

today's song choice is a fucking great and powerful one that just got a music video - 'missing you' by all time low. i cried my eyes out when i saw all time low performing this song live at leeds festival.

until next time

x o
