a week ago i posted my possible summer tbr for this year. it has changed already. oops.
one of the slight changes is that i'm probably taking part of a five-month-long read-along called 'a song of ice and fire' read-along. i think it's pretty clear what this read-along is about but if there's some people who aren't aware of what the 'a song of ice and fire' series by george r. r. martin is - it's 'game of thrones'.
'a song of ice and fire' read-along takes part from june to october this year and in this read-a-thon you read one book of the series in a month. it's hosted by riley marie, bookadoodles and lizlovesliterature on youtube. there's a goodreads group for the read-along and a printable checklist to help you keep track of where you're at with each book.

i'm planning on reading the first book so that i read a section every day and i counted about twenty six pages a day, and i'm good to finish it in exactly a month. but we'll see how far i'll get and if i get distracted by everything else i might read in june. so, i'm starting with 'a game of thrones' next week possibly then.
i'm one of the people who hasn't watched the series either so i thought i might as well get a head start with the books and then get into the television series as well. i've only seen the very first episode and that's pretty much it. i was interested in it but i couldn't grasp it much just yet back when i started like two years ago.
i've owned the first book for a bit of time now (in a gorgeous edition) and i've wanted to start the series but it's quite time-consuming because there's a shitton of characters and i haven't been in a fantasy mood for the longest time, especially epic fantasy.
also, with the changes of my tbr for the summer - it's clearly changed already. i know i put way too many books in my tbr for the three months but i want to get to as many series as possible. first in line are 'the mortal instruments' and 'harry potter'. these are the two definite series of books i want to read this summer. and there's a read-a-thon i mentioned recently that's coming, so i might tackled some of my thickest books in this read-a-thon as well.
now i gotta finish reading beautiful disaster at least today so i could get to one of my three library books. can't have them sitting on my shelf for any longer, it's bugging me so much.
i really got into watching joe sugg's (/thatcherjoegames) playthrough of uncharted 4 and i'm so into it, i freakin' love the design and the storyline of this game so much. it's fantastic. you should all check out the game or at least the playthrough because it's so good.
today's song choice is 'hamilton's cast singing 'my shot' because this musical is so great. so so great.
until next time
x o
