64 - remember to forget / tbr takedown 3.0: day 1

hey!

here i am with my first update for tbr takedown 3.0 and today i managed to get done with one of the challenges and i will make a somewhat timeline of how much i read at what time, basically. if that makes any sense?

so, yeah, let's get started!

the first challenge i completed today was read a book with fire colours and the book i had chosen for that was remember to forget by _smilelikeniall on wattpad.

i started reading this book at around one in the morning. yeah...

by two forty am (ish) i had gotten through twenty chapters of the story and i really really wanted to continue on reading but i also really really wanted to get some sleep so i could continue on with the story this morning.

so, after going to sleep, i woke up at around one pm because i'm rubbish and i started reading right away. but then i got distracted by stuff and finally by eight pm i finished with the book.

now, this isn't by any means a lighthearted book to read.

to give a very brief summary of it, luke is a troubled teenager who is being forced to move from australia to maine, the united states after his mother tells him that he could get better there. by that, she means that he could start his life over there again, to get happier. luke had lost his girlfriend six months ago and since then he hasn't spoken a word to anyone, only through messages on his phone or on paper/whiteboards etc. he flies off to the u.s. to live with his father who he hates because he left lke and her mother several years ago. in the u.s., luke meets new people after going to his first therapy session there, it's his twelfth therapist so far. there he meets a girl and he's hit with memories of his past girlfriend and he wants nothing to do with the girl, delilah. but delilah is determined to help luke get better.

i wouldn't say that this is a romance story much, it's a lot about luke growing to live his life and exactly, as the title says - remember to forget. i absolutely loved this story and i've already pre-ordered the hardback copy of this and i can't wait for it to arrive in april! this is easily one of my most anticipated releases of 2016, even though i've read the original story now. i really want to see the extended story and new chapters and scenes and see where the characters end up.

so, now, it is about half past midnight of the fifth of january, and i am in the middle of my second challenge - read a sequel in a series - and, naturally, i picked taking chances for this because it's the sequel to 'remember to forget'.

i hope to get at least half of it read so i can be just a little ahead of the challenge tomorrow when i start the third one. so, yes.

(update: it's now about an hour later and i decided to switch up my challenges and today i'm doing another challenge instead because i don't have 'taking chances' on my phone yet and i'm reading it around friday-saturday because that's when i will have access to wifi, yes i know, i don't have wifi at home, it's tragic. so, today i'm starting with 'bad & british' instead.)

today's song choice is three days grace's 'just like you'. i'm getting into oldies again.

until next update

x o
