80 - excessive
hello, hello, hello!
happy birthday, ed sheeran! i saw him exactly one year ago live, ahh.
it's been quite a while since i last updated on what i've been reading. ok, so here we go!
i finished reading ambivalence and i'd say i wasn't too impressed with it but i read it to the end because i don't usually like to leave books that i've read like thirty chapters to and i only had ten more to read. so, i finished it and i just wasn't too impressed. it was very predictable and towards the end it was way too fairytale-y, in a sense that no one would get the thing one of the main characters did. (won't say what, find out yourselves, hA). i gave this book a two point five stars out of five.
the next book i picked up for reading was shadows by amy meredith. this was a paranormal romance story about a rich girl who gets the power to electrocute people and make things move and shit. and then there's two new guys who start going to her school, mal and luke. mal's mysterious and luke's outgoing and pretty much a ladies man. however, either of them are really what the main character, eve, was expecting. i wasn't again very impressed by it because i couldn't give a fuck about what she was wearing and which shade of lipstick was the best color on her. i hated those parts but nevertheless i gave it was three out of five.
then i picked up excessive on wattpad which was a harry styles fan fiction story. basically, the world is led by gangs on every continent, except antarctica. in north america, it's ferocious and in europe, it's savage. our main character arabella is kidnapped from her house after her two older brothers warned her about it. she is shipped to england to live with savage's main boss, harlan. harlan is harry's public name, basically. there's a lot of secrets floating around, mystery about harry and his dark past and a whole lot of drama, basically. i really liked it because it was a dark story and eventually, most of the points added up. gave it a four out of five stars, it was a very decent read. very fast paced.
of course, i then read obsessive which is the sequel to 'excessive' and i read up to the point where the chapters have been uploaded on wattpad. the most important part of the book is out already and i'm not really sure if i'll continue reading it as the chapters come or not. again, great read. four stars so far.
last night i started reading sex lessons in which luke hemmings is a girl's best friend, alongside with the rest of 5 seconds of summer and as the two have kissed previously, that happens at a random party again. luke gets kind of jealous when she flirts with a guy at the party and drags her home where she confesses to being a virgin. luke offers to give her lessons in that department and they make a deal - if one of them falls in love with the other, the lessons end immediately and they'll stop seeing each other. of course, it's not as easy as it seems. it was again very predictable and i just didn't find myself enjoying it after like ten chapters but i did read it to the thirty two chapters it has so far. two point five.
alongside that i was reading snapchat and in this story luke hemmings snapchats a girl, asking her about a sexual favor. she's mortified by it, really, and luke apologizes because it was the wrong person he had snapped. the two start talking and eventually, as they find out they live only three hours apart, they meet. things start happening along the way and luke finds himself falling in love with her.
i'm currently reading it and i'm twenty five chapters in of fifty and i'll probably finish it by tonight so i'll probably finally start reading the book thief later on because i'm craving historical fiction right now.
also, i read a short story, and so we wait by sasha alsberg (abookutopia) on wattpad and it was really interesting! it's historical fiction and i made her a book cover as well, hehe. :3 five out of five for it because i really liked how it was built up!
today's song choice is 'story of another us' by 5 seconds of summer because i love this song a lot.
until next time
x o
